Ghost Stories with Chantal Kreviazuk

Chantal KreviazukChantal Kreviazuk is known for a lot of things: She is a wife and mother of two. She is actively involved in many charitable organizations fighting poverty such as Warchild. She mentored Avril Lavigne through the craziness of fame after the huge success of Avril’s debut album, Let Go. And she also happens to be an award winning singer-songwriter.

Her new album, Ghost Stories, is classic Kreviazuk. It’s a genuine mix of sounds expressing everything form joy to ‘cry in your ice-cream’. Ghost stories was produced by her husband (Our Lady Peace singer, Raine Maida) and recorded in their home studio. It showcases Chantal’s trademark searing vocals and thundering piano work. She delivers everything that fans have come to expect with the first single, All I Can Do. Don’t be surprised if you hear some of the songs from Ghost Stories in a movie soundtrack because Chantal Kreviazuk is a master at creating the kind of moods with her music that filmmakers love - evident by her rendition of John Denver’s Leaving on a Jetplane that fit so well in the movie Armageddon.

In addition to the first single, expect to fall in love with most of the songs on Ghost Stories like Waiting for the Sun, the gospelesque So Cold, the powerful Asylum, Wonderful, and the title song, Ghosts of You. There’s something for every mood, and every one. Thanks again CK.
