Nachoooooooooo!!! … Libreee
Jack Black is one of those guys that just looks like he’s going to say or do something massively controversial. He’s done a few movies now with really unique storylines and you always get the sense from the advertisements that his latest comedy will be an adults only affair. But really, Jack Black makes entertaining movies for the whole family, and his off-the-wall storylines are great for fueling young imaginations.
In Nacho Libre, Jack plays Ignacio, the cook in a Mexican orphanage. But that’s just during the day. At night Ignacio transforms into Nacho, the masked luchador (wrestler). Nacho loses fight after fight but still gets paid because he’s become a crowd favorite. But what he really wants, besides the attention of a new nun at the orphanage, is to be a winner so he can do something meaningful for the orphanage.
Nacho Libre is a little slow in parts but has lots of physical comedy and crazy antics to keep the story rolling along.
