Scrubs Revived From The Dead
You can think of the sitcom Scrubs like this; Vincent Van Gogh never made a penny and was never famous until after his death. Now his paintings are worth millions of dollars.
If you’ve never heard of Scrubs, then you would be amazed to know that this November it is starting it’s 6th season. Season 5 was almost not aired but NBC started showing it twice a week mid way through the season and the show has finally found it’s audience.
Scrubs has been described as “half as long as ER and twice as funny” which is not surprising as it was created by Bill Lawrence who also created Michael J. Fox’s Spin City. The show is all about the professional and personal lives of a cast of characters who work at a hospital. It’s quirky, funny, has poignant scenes, and is a lot like what you would expect if Spin City were thrown on to the set of ER.
In addition to the new episodes, the show is in syndication because it already has 5 seasons under it’s belt. The new season is coming thanks to the popularity the series has gained in the past several months and a 7th season is also planned. So just like Van Gogh, Scrubs almost died before it gained any popularity at all - but instead has managed to fight it’s back. Sorry Vincent.
