Where Does the Tadpole’s Tail Go?

TadpoleAt a certain stage in the life-history of a tadpole some of the cells within the tadpole’s body begin to attack and devour the cells that make up the tail. The tail is gradually eaten away and absorbed, until finally, by the action of these cells there is nothing of it left. The material thus disappear’s by the process which is known as absorption; that is to say, it is used ‘ip by something else.
